Rival Bones produce a nuanced and beautifully crafted wall of sound. This EP shows those new to this band why they really are heavy rock’s best kept secret. Hopefully, with music of this quality they won’t be staying in the shadows for very much longer. Special, special, special in every way. 9/10
— Roxy Gillespie // Louder Than War
With their eponymous EP, Liverpool-based duo Rival Bones display grittiness and swagger in equal measure. The four songs on offer show intent as their brand of bombastic hard rock thrives on mighty riffs, big choruses, rumbling drums and underlining groove.

EP opener Want You Madly is the perfect introduction; this is what Bigfoot would sound like if he was in a rock band. It’s gritty and grinding, bristling with a fury that, with thanks to their polished, triumphant vocal melodies, never becomes overbearing.
